National Trust Sites in and around Pembrokeshire

I have treated my family to National Trust Membership for Christmas and we are looking forward to visiting many properties this year, including what our beautiful county has to offer….

Colby Woodland Gardens, Amroth

We have visited many times and love it for the cafe, meadow and woodlands. There is no house or actual property to visit here.

Tudor Merchants House, Tenby

I am ashamed to say I have never visited this property in the heart of Tenby but will definitely do so this year. Parking is in any public car park and there are many cafes and coffee shops in the town for refreshments but none in the house itself.

Stackpole Centre

There are events held here but no general public access or cafe.

Stackpole Quay

Plenty of parking, gorgeous coastal walks and a divine cafe right on the quay. No property to visit at this site.

Southwood Estate

A farm in North Pembrokeshire which is undergoing restoration. There is no actual property, shop or cafe but there are plenty of events happening including walks, nature trails and an Easter Egg hunt. St Davids is nearby with a National Trust Shop and Centre and plenty of cafes as well as the stunning Cathedral.

Cilgerran Castle

A stunning 13th-century fortress overlooking the spectacular Teifi Gorge. There is a lot going on including guided tours to medieval weekends.

A beautiful Georgian villa situated in the Aeron valley. A self-sufficient estate which includes a farm, walled gardens and lake. There is Conti’s Cafe and a shop selling fresh grown produce.

A truly spectacular National Nature Reserve, with  beautiful historic Newton House, 18th-century landscaped Dinefwr Park with a medieval deer park and Dinefwr Castle. There is a lovely tearoom and shop too. We visited Christmas 2017 and absolutely loved it. We are definitely going back to explore more this year.

Full details, opening times and events can be found on the National Trust website.
